  i'm sure that most of us heard that line when we were young.

  i never could convince myself of that, other than that it hung a blade over my head that would then be on the chopping block should i err in some way and thus they would be protected from me, but i also knew that i needed to do so anyway.

  otherwise i'd be a pariah if i got older and didn't take the step, and i wanted to be good in their eyes.

  Telling young minds ''getting baptized is protection'' is a control tactic. Especially young impressionable minds, say before the age of 18. It's a billion year contract which you can never get out of without immense mental strain and social ramifications. Like someone said before it's like 'The Hotel California, you can enter but you can never get out of.'

  i just learned that my husband was in one of the dramas at this year's rc.

  i have no idea which one.

  the way that i found out is: while looking for a confirmation email for a plane trip we are making, i opened his account.

  yes, all live dramas have gone by the wayside. People actually told me last year that they spent hours and hours before the 2014 Regional convention practising dramas. When convention time came, much to their surprise, all their practise was moot because they now use this technology to broadcast videos.

  Wouldn't surprise me at all if they start using more and more GB members to give recorded videos at assemblies, in a way to make the R&F more awe-inspired or more fearful of the Borg.

  Thanks Terry a lot for this. Yeah, I see that frozen moment from time to time of that man with the building in the background. You wonder what he must have felt, whether just a few seconds of freedom???? but yeah, maybe a sense of defiance against a faceless jihad which may have felt liberating I'm sure.

  I just love it when they find these such fossils or when they find huge mammals with vegetation still in their mouths or stomach,love it!!
